A quick learner, Helen has successfully completed the ‘Professional Cook 1 program’ at VCC. She believes trying different food can facilitate our understanding of various cultures.
Our monthly lecture series will provide the opportunity for renowned speakers to share their experiences and expertise with our community. Attendees can expect to leave lectures having been engaged, enriched and entertained. Keep an eye out on our website and newsletters for details on topics and speakers.

The Mother’s Day Gift workshop gives kids the opportunity to create a beautiful gift for Mother’s Day, while their mothers can enjoy a couple hours to themselves. Shhhh, it’s a surprise, so no parents allowed in the classroom!
Held in the Wesbrook Community Centre Childminding Room, for children 5 to 10 years
Bring your own supplies and enjoy an evening of creativity and socializing on Fridays once a month. All levels welcome, all you need is a desire to explore creativity and to learn from each other. Children are welcome to join Community Art classes when accompanied by an adult.
Classes are only $2.00/family
Dorota is an active member and volunteer in the UNA and UBC community. She comes from an eclectic multinational background and enjoys helping people build connections in a multicultural community. She also has had a lifelong interest in art which she has explored in a variety of media.
